Jacob is a nice and good-hearted twelve-year-old boy who helps his mother sell vegetables at the market. One day a buyer, who turns out to be a witch, curses the boy. To regain his freedom, Jacob must complete several challenges.
Wilhelm Hauff’s fairy tale, published in 1826, is a somewhat rough and scary story with a happy ending. The role of the Narrator is played by Maija Doveika whose narration is given a tone of mystery by the accompanying soundscapes.
