Nature dipped in glycerine, hollowed out and sprayed with natural-looking colours, models of wolves in stiff poses in front a hilly landscape. All of this locked in a box, as a window into another world, frozen in time – just for us: for the simulators, the human experts – they play their controlled game at a safe distance. Until it gradually gets out of their hands, reverses and the humans themselves are put on the line.
Using an essayistic form, science fiction meets a habitat diorama in this installation/theatre performance – display cases in museums, which usually artificially recreate a true-to-life piece of an animal’s habitat, are intensified to the point that the human cannot control them alone anymore.
