Based on plays Uncle Vanya and The Wood Demon by Anton Checkhov, this performance is about people’s persistent and sometimes even desperate quest for happiness and love. Vanya, his god-daughter Sofia and doctor Astrov lead a quiet life in the countryside until Sofia’s father and his new wife Yelena arrive from the city. The peaceful everyday life is shattered into pieces of sudden passion and unrequited love. Time is passing, tension is growing, and a revolver is lying on a shelf.
